When you sign up with Connected Family you are given a referral number. If you do
not know what your referral number is you can login to your account to get your
referral number. When you tell a friend about Connected Family give them your referral
number. When your friend signs up they will need to put your referral number in
the promo/referral code field during checkout. If you have a friend sign up with
your referral number your next bill date will be moved one month forward (giving
your one month free). EXAMPLE: If your next bill date is 4/10, once your friend signs
up using your referral code, your next bill date will be 5/10.
No. Connected Family does not require you to transfer your existing domain name to us.
If you do not wish to transfer your domain name take these steps. During the check out process when
asked to select a domain
name, simply select the checkbox that says "Transfer an existing domain (www.example.com)
OR Point domain to Connected Family servers." You will then be contacted by our support team
who will help you either transfer your domain or point your domain name to our name servers.
Yes, you can create and upload a new logo for your site in the
administration section of your site.

You do not have to register a domain name. Connected Family offers
two plans. For the premium plan you will need to select a domain name and we will
walk you through this process and register the domain name of your choice. For those
that select the basic package you will not have a domain name. Basic plan members
have a unique Connected Family address like smiths.connectedfamily.net.
Yes, You have control over each of your pages. In fact you even have
control of how many pages and what type of pages you put on the site. Connected
Family allows you to customize your pages and create
as many pages as you need to meet the needs of your family.
No. There are no additonal fees if you want to change the layout or
look and feel of your site. You have the ability to make these changes
at any time via the web sites administration tools.
We do not put a limit on how members of your family can access
the site. Connected Family has created this product to give your extended family
the ability to stay close and to stay in touch.
No, the fee for the site is for the service regardless of how
many family members you have accessing the site. It is a very inexpensive way for
your family and extended family to stay in touch.
Yes, we are always looking for ways that will help your family stay in touch and
share memories. Connected Family will add new features as we are able to develop
and integrate them.
When you sign up for a plan you will be asked if you prefer monthly or yearly billing.
You will then be asked for your credit card number which will be kept on our secure
server and will be billed monthly or yearly based on the option you selected.
If you want to cancel your account you simply need to e-mail support@connectedfamily.net
with your account information (including username and last 4 digits of the credit
card we are billing) and we will cancel your subscription. If you paid for a yearly
subscription we will pro-rate your fee and refund any balance.
The domain name you register with the premium plan is yours to keep. If you
cancel your account with Connected Family you keep your domain name and can transfer
it to another provider.
Yes. Currently in order to upgrade your site you will need to e-mail
support@connectedfamily.net and we can upgrade your site.
Uploading photos to the photo album will let you up load 16,000 images with the premium package and 11,000 images with the basic package.
This is if you are not using any of the storage space for other files like video, word documents, etc. The amount of other file types you
upload can reduce this number.
No, any registered user can add content (features, photos, etc) to the site if the administrator has given him/her the rights to.
We currently do not have any family tree support. This is however a
feature we want to provide and we are currently looking into options in this
area and hope to provide this functionality soon.
